We had a fantastic stay at Wathne Camping for our family trip to Stavanger and Preikestolen hiking. The location was perfect, with easy access to the commercial area in Tau and just a short drive to both attractions. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The camp itself had a great atmosphere and the owner, Lukas, was incredibly helpful. The cabins were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The surrounding nature and hikes, like Holtaheia, were absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of sunrise and sunset. Wathne Camping offered great value for families with small kids and caravans.

We appreciated being able to park our car right in front of our cabin, making it convenient for us to load and unload our hiking gear. the campground also had an excellent playground, complete with a wide selection of toys, which was a hit with our group of friends. It was definitely an ideal place for families with small kids and caravans.

The cabin we stayed in was clean and comfortable, with a cozy terrace that offered a nice view. We enjoyed having a kettle in the cabin for quick hot water and electricity to charge our devices. The common area was conveniently located nearby and had a well-equipped kitchen with proper stove and dishes. The toilets and showers were also very clean, which was a plus.
The only downside we experienced was the lack of an oven in the cabin. It would have been nice to have the option to bake or roast food during our stay.

I had always wanted to explore Tysdalsvatnet, so I chose Wathne Camping for its convenient location. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the well-equipped accommodation, which had a comfortable seating and dining area. I especially liked having a dining table available.
Caravan option had short bed and bright skylight. Showers far, weak wifi.

We had a delightful stay at Wathne Camping. The owners were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check-in late without any hassle. The hut we stayed in was clean, well-furnished, and had all the amenities we needed. The highlight was waking up to the sound of birds singing and the breathtaking view of the fjords. The location was perfect for exploring Preacher's Rock, which was just a short drive away. I highly recommend this place for a peaceful and nature-filled getaway.
